Using FrameSort for the
first time

1
Sign up β€” takes 10 seconds
Click Try Free Demo on the homepage. You’ll see a sign-in screen with two options:
  • Continue with Google β€” recommended. One click, instant access.
  • Magic Link β€” type your email, receive a sign-in link by email, click it. No password needed.
βœ“ First time signing in? Your free trial starts automatically. No credit card needed.
2
Choose your analysis mode
You’ll see three options at the top of the setup card:
  • Full Analysis β€” best for weddings and events. Detects blur, fixes exposure, groups similar shots, picks the best. Recommended for most shoots.
  • Quick Cull β€” fastest mode. Just removes blurry and badly exposed photos. Good when you’re in a hurry or batch is very large.
  • Best Picks Only β€” ideal when photos are technically good. Groups similar poses and picks one winner from each group.
πŸ’‘ For your first session, try Full Analysis on a 50-100 photo subset to see everything it does.
3
Set your options (optional)
Below the mode selector you’ll see two options:
  • Max Best Picks β€” leave blank to get the best photo from every group, or enter a number to cap the total (e.g. enter 50 to get your top 50 best picks from the entire shoot).
  • Export File Naming β€” type a prefix like Wedding_Sharma_2025 and your exported files will be named Wedding_Sharma_2025_001.jpg, 002.jpg, etc. Leave blank to keep original file names.
4
Drop or browse your photos
Drag your photos from your folder directly onto the drop zone, or click Browse Files to select them. You can select up to 500 photos at once (Starter) or 1,000 (Pro).
⚠ After selecting photos, do NOT click Start Processing yet. Take 10 seconds to check your options first β€” you cannot change them once processing begins.
When you’re ready, click the gold Start Processing β†’ button.
5
Wait for analysis to complete
FrameSort will show a progress bar with the current step (blur detection β†’ corrections β†’ clustering β†’ best picks β†’ duplicates). Typical times:
  • 50 photos β€” under 30 seconds
  • 200 photos β€” 1–2 minutes
  • 500 photos β€” 3–5 minutes
  • 1,000 photos (Pro) β€” 5–8 minutes
βœ“ Don’t switch tabs or minimise the browser while processing β€” this can pause the analysis.
6
Review your results
The results screen shows your photos sorted into categories in the left sidebar:
  • Good Photos β€” sharp, well-exposed, usable shots
  • AI Edited β€” photos that were over/underexposed and have been automatically corrected
  • Best Picks β€” one top-scoring winner from each cluster of similar shots
  • Rejected β€” blurry, badly exposed, or unusable shots
  • Similar Groups β€” see all photo clusters with the winner highlighted
  • Duplicates (Pro) β€” near-identical photos detected
Click any photo to open it full-screen. Use the category dropdown on each card to override the AI’s decision.
7
Download your photos
Click the download icon (⬇) next to any category in the sidebar to download that group as a ZIP file. You can download Good Photos, AI Edited, and Best Picks separately.
⚠ Download your ZIPs before closing the browser tab. All results are cleared when the tab is closed β€” they cannot be recovered.

Downloading and
exporting photos

1
Download a category as ZIP
In the left sidebar, each category row (Good Photos, AI Edited, Best Picks) has a small download icon (⬇) on the right. Click it to start the ZIP download for that category. The ZIP is created in your browser and saved directly to your downloads folder.
2
Custom file naming
If you set an export prefix before processing (e.g. Wedding_Sharma_2025), all exported files will be renamed sequentially: Wedding_Sharma_2025_001.jpg, Wedding_Sharma_2025_002.jpg, etc. If no prefix was set, original file names are preserved.
3
Edited photos in the export
When you download AI Edited or Good Photos, any photo you manually edited (Pro) is exported as the edited version, not the original. Your original files on your hard drive are never changed.
4
No internet needed for download
The ZIP is created entirely in your browser β€” the download works even if your internet connection drops after the analysis is complete.

Common problems
and fixes

⚠ Browse Files button not working / nothing happens when I click it
This is usually a browser compatibility issue. Try Google Chrome β€” it’s the most reliable browser for FrameSort. If you’re already on Chrome, try refreshing the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R) and attempting again. Make sure you’re using the signed-in version of the tool, not the raw HTML file opened from your desktop.
⚠ My iPhone HEIC photos are not being accepted
HEIC photos work best in Safari on Mac. On Chrome, HEIC support depends on your OS version. If you’re on Windows with Chrome, export your iPhone photos as JPEG first: in iPhone Photos app, go to Settings β†’ Camera β†’ Formats β†’ Most Compatible. Alternatively, AirDrop to Mac and open in Safari.
⚠ Processing is very slow or the browser freezes
FrameSort uses your device’s CPU. Close all other browser tabs and applications first. If you have more than 300 photos, try processing in two smaller batches. Use Quick Cull mode which is 3–4x faster than Full Analysis. Restart your browser before starting a large batch to clear memory.
⚠ Magic link sign-in isn’t working β€” “Failed to send email”
Try Continue with Google instead β€” it works immediately and captures your account the same way. If you specifically need email magic link sign-in, check that you’re accessing the tool via its web URL (not a local file path), then contact us with the exact error message shown on screen.
⚠ I paid but the tool is still showing the paywall
Sign out and sign back in using the same account you paid with (the “Sign out” button is in the top right nav after signing in). Payment confirmation can take up to 2 minutes to sync. If the issue persists after 5 minutes, email hello@framesort.in with your payment receipt and we’ll manually unlock your account within the hour.
⚠ Some good photos are being rejected as blurry
FrameSort’s blur detection is calibrated for typical sharpness levels. Intentional soft-focus portraits, heavy bokeh, or shallow depth-of-field shots can sometimes be flagged as blurry. You can move any photo back to Good Photos using the category dropdown on the card. No AI is 100% perfect β€” always do a quick review of the Rejected tab before discarding.
⚠ I closed the tab and lost my results / edited photos
Unfortunately, results cannot be recovered after closing the tab. FrameSort stores everything in browser memory only β€” this is what keeps your photos private (nothing is ever uploaded). You’ll need to re-process the batch. Going forward, always download your ZIP files before closing. We recommend keeping the results tab open until you’ve confirmed your downloads are complete.
